Legowelt kommer til Oslo!

Jepp, du leste riktig! Den ene halvdelen (undertegnede) av Betu har startet et nytt konsept og jeg kan nå bekrefte at Legowelt kommer til å spille på åpningspartyet. Stedet blir Club Pi og datoen bør du nok sette av allerede. Det hele braker løs lørdag 1. mars 2008 . Mer info kommer senere!

Electro, house og italo (ordene kan kombineres på ulike måter hvis ønskelig) med euforiske glis. Inspirert av kattunger med hanekam og synthballonger i discoland. Alle er glade. Alle!

Tysk-italieneren von lynX kommer fra Berlin for å spille et italectro-sett av den typen som allerede har gjort ham til en populær husgjest på alt fra Dimuschi-partyene i Paris til de punka Lollipop-festene i Budapest og gitt ham talløse spillejobber på klubber som Maria am Ostbahnhof og Kit Kat i Berlin. Under navnene That’s og First Men On Pluto har han gitt ut plater på blant andre Bomb Boutique og vist seg som en dyktig produsent med en lett gjenkjennelig sound. Som del av duoen The Alibi Wives har han også laget electro i en mer minimal stil.

Tetsuo lager småvrengt electrohouse med islett av vokal og har gitt ut plater på både Beautycase, Betu og Electrobot. Han har varmet opp for blant andre Anthony Rother og Wolfgang Flur og spilt på klubber i alt fra Berlin til Paris til Kiev til Bergen.

Stöv er en ung bergenser som produserer electrohouse og electropop med heftig trøkk. Trøkk! Utgivelsene inkluderer foreløpig bare remixer for Lorraine, Syme og Tetsuo, men sjekk knallåta «Heart Rate» på Myspace og du vil skjønne at Stöv er et navn som bare vil vokse i tiden fremover.

djLys er en Bergens-DJ som ønsker å gjøre litt mer utav seg enn å bare stå rett opp og ned for å spille skiver. Derfor spinner han old school electro og house mikset med scratching, trommemaskiner og gitareffektpedaler Han er også del av Stövs livemannskap.

Ohhh! Another blog.

Isn't that... errr... exciting? The concept of blogging has been around for a while on the web, and we thought we'd give it a try as well. Anyway, since you're reading this you may be wondering about what Betu is?

The two people behind Betu is Martin and Joacim. Together they wanted to start a record company named Betu Records about five years ago. At the moment we are located in the same flat in Oslo/Norway, which is Joacim's hometown. Martin on the other hand is from Båtsfjord, a small fishing village in the north of Norway. He did however lived in Berlin for a while where he could get better use of his creativity in music. On Betu Records he has released two records and one on both Electrobot Records and Beautycase-Records. There hasn't been much activity with our record label lately but that may soon be changing in the near future! On this blog you will be able to read different news concerning the label, our artists, parties we arrange and such. You will also be able to download music! Isn't that great?

So to wrap up this first post I will include some info about the two releases on Betu Records. And for your listening pleasure I've included some previews of the tunes. Enjoy!

Info: A melancholy symphony written for a girlfriend of Tetsuo. It is remixed by two of Norway's finest electronic acts, along with Sascha Müller from Germany.
